Changed the address of one of the volunteers (Simon Lathlane) on the Cornwall Lookup Exchange.
Updated the page about my mother's book because the printed books have now arrived and are being sent out.
Updated the page about my mother's book with a picture of the cover and information on the price. Publishing very soon!
Since completing the Cornwall Lookup Exchange updates I have been working on the first (and biggest) phase of an update to the Virtual Tour of the Aber Valley. If you are a Virtual Tour fan you are going to love this. Here is a list of the updates:

Added a fifth list to the Cornwall Lookup Exchange which focuses on geographical resources. Also added a few new lookups.
Finally completed the revamp of the Cornwall Lookup Exchange. This is well worth another look. There are now around fifty distinct services offered in many more resources, and there are twenty three volunteers on the pages, though one or two are "AWOL" at the moment.
For those of you who have not previously met the Lookup Exchange, it is a list of people who have information regarding Cornwall and especially its people. It is invaluable if you are trying to trace a family or a line as some of their information is not available anywhere else. This particularly applies to old and rare books. There are similar lists available for many of England's other counties, and also for Wales, Scotland and Ireland. There is a link to the central meta-index (index of indices) on each of the Cornwall Lookup Exchange's pages.
Over the last few days I have added about a dozen new photographs to the Aber Valley Tour, many of them on a special new page. In doing so I have also made minor alterations to some of the text in the Abertridwr section and identified some areas which need updating - the original photographs were taken in December 1996 and even in Aber, some things change in six years! With any luck when we are down over Christmas I'll be able to take some photographs with which to further update the site.
I have also added imagemaps to all the pages in the Abertridwr section. What this means is that if you want to you can navigate the tour by clicking on certain parts of the pictures. Obviously if you have image loading disabled this doesn't apply! The page you are taken to depends on which part of the picture you click: for example, if you click on a road going off to the left, the page you are taken to will be one in this direction. If you know the valley well you will have very little trouble navigating like this - I find it the easiest way to get around - but if you have never visited you will probably get lost very quickly. If at any time you get lost, don't forget that you can still view the map by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

Finally got around to adding a few pictures and updating some pages on the Aber Valley Tour and changing something silly which I should have spotted earlier! Also been doing some "behind the scenes" work in the personal pages.
Obviously not going to have anywhere near as much time to play with these pages now that boy is with us, so am adapting them to be less "immediate" and updating information in the process. Also removing completely pages which are well past their sell-by dates and which I can't be bothered to update.
'Tweaking' in various parts - updating information that was seriously behind the times!. Also a page advertising mother's forthcoming book about the Angoves.
Oh dear... long time without update... but I may have some time this week. Anyway, today's changes: Some housekeeping on the Lookup Exchange page, and some really minor changes to the main index.

Changed Wendy's address from wendy@tridwr.demon.co.uk to wja@ematic.com, and removed Royce Prisk's lookups from the list. The lengthy gap, by the way, is because last Christmas' girlfriend is now my wife, and as a result I've moved house and found a job. No longer in Wales infortunately - I have moved (near) to Sheffield, though Wales will get lots of visits as my parents still live there.
A few more updates today, mostly to the Teaching Pages. Added Assignment 3, all 3,500 words of it!
Well, the PGCE is finally over, and so I'm starting to do a few things on these pages... today's is very minor, just an update of an email address in the Cornwall Lookup Exchange.
Umm... I'm sure I've done things (in fact I know I have) since December, but this is the first time I've updated the log. Ooh, slipping. Let's blame the PGCE again shall we? What have I done in the intervening months? I've updated the personal section once or twice, removed something from the teaching section, added some resources to the lookup list... and possibly a few other cosmetic changes, I really can't remember.
Today, I've changed the personal section again, rather belatedly, added a link to the Aber Valley (etc) page (well worth a visit), and added a resource to the Cornwall Lookup Exchange. That should do for a while :-)
Another long gap - plenty going on here including Christmas, tons of college work, mother breaking her arm and the sudden unexpected acquisition of a girlfriend. Woo hoo! Anyway, today made some long-needed updates to the Cornwall Lookup Exchange. Maybe I'll do the total rewrite before the holidays are out! Also some reasonably major changes to the "and ME!" section of the personal page.
Finally got around to uploading three weeks' worth of diaries (well, almost, some are a bit short) to the Teaching Diaries section, and also two more pieces of written work (one a large 2,500 word assignment) to the Teaching Essays section. Minor change to the main index too.
Uploaded a geography game - but I can't tell you where it is cos it's strictly "for educational use only".
Uploaded a week and a half of Teaching Diaries. I'm a bit behind with them at the moment unfortunately... maybe I'll manage to catch up this week. Also added a couple of new resources to the Cornwall Lookup Exchange, and totally didn't rearrange the whole thing as I'd been planning. Oh yes, while it's still there, take a look at Andy's page. It's an interesting get-back at one of his sisters-in-law...
Uploaded more Teaching Diaries, made some minor corrections that should have been done ages ago to both Wendy's Page and the Cornwall Lookup Exchange. The lookup exchange also gets a new resource.
Back this weekend for Andy Ralph's induction as part time pastor at Bethel so took the opportunity to upload a few more pages. Mostly corrections though of course, there is now another week in the Teaching Diaries Section.
Had some tax forms to sign and so took the opportunity to update the pages again, and fix a broken link or two. There's a new diary and a bit of internal reorganisation in the Teaching Section (still haven't finished week 1!), and there are some new lookups in the Cornwall Lookup Exchange.
Came home from Swansea partly so that I could update some web pages. I have uploaded some more into the Teaching Section - the whole of the diary of Week 2 (though I haven't finished the first week!) and a couple of essays. Some minor updates to various linking and indexing pages along the way.

Made some major updates to the Teaching Section. I hadn't planned to have this thing up-and-running yet, but I spent hours this afternoon writing some totally self-serving drivel, so I thought I'd better not waste it. I actually put a link to it on the personal index page too. A slight change to the main index page reflects all this.
Changed some of the details on yesterday's update and made some minor changes to the index page.
Added a rather nice new resource to the Cornwall Lookup Page.
Finished work again, so a few more updates on the way. Today I've done a little rewriting on the personal page and added a new section which may unfold to be a huge and boring description of the year I spend doing a PGCE. As yet, only the teaching index page is up.

Updated Mother's Family History Page back in February (19th to be exact), and then totally forgot to upload it! Have uploaded it now - twice in fact, the second time with a few added links and some corrections.

Minor changes in the Caerphilly section and abertour. Just added a few book links that's all. Didn't previously note that along with the new index piccie I've changed 'powered by Acorn' to 'created using RiscOS'. Acorn doesn't really exist any more, so I thought I'd do sommat slightly political prior to totally revising my Acorn pages.
New piccie on the index page - this was last changed in November 1997! It's a bit leaner than the previous version, and 3k shorter as a result. The major addition is the link to amazon.co.uk because since I seem to have used a few books in making up these pages, I thought it would be interesting to give y'all a chance to see that they really do exist, and what better way than to link to amazon who will even give me some money if you buy a book through one of my links. Wow! Not that I'm expecting it to happen of course :-). If you're visiting from outside the uk, sorry but at the moment I've only linked to amazon uk. I haven't a clue whether they'll ship overseas. I dare say they will. See ya.
The last week's been rather hectic - a week ago today one of the girls who attends a youth club I help run on Thursdays was killed while she waited in her front garden for the minibus. A drunk driver crashed into a parked car which rolled into her garden wall which... not nice.
Today, a few minor changes to the site. Nothing exciting, just a couple of outdated comments removed, and an outdated link updated as it were.
All Caerphilly photographs should now be up and available. Also did a couple of other minor corrections in various sections. Nothing exciting (adjusted the text on the index page and the abervalley page for example). Oh yes, check out the new copyright statement!
Haven't managed the Caerphilly photographs yet, sorry. I have though today made one small change to the AOHelL page - perhaps you could help me in this quest. I am also in touch with someone from Senghenydd who is supplying me with some fantastic old photographs. They will be up as soon as I've decided exactly where to put them and we've agreed how they should be attributed. More soon!
Did some tidying-up in the photogallery, and added a thumbnail index to the Caerphilly section, though the newer pictures aren't yet linked.
Finally got all the large Derbyshire and Wales photographs up and visible. Took some time too! I think the Caerphilly ones are next, but probably not until next week.

Couple of very minor corrections, but the major thing today is that I finally linked in some of the large photographs in the gallery. The ones in question are the ones from Cornwall. Do have a look!
Totally restructured the personal page. In fact it would now be more accurate to call it the 'personal pages' as I have an index with stuff about me and the area, a page about my family, and a page about my friends to go alongside the photograph gallery. Still haven't uploaded the HTML to go with the large photographs though, even though the photographs are already there.
