Martin Angove's Utterly Pointless tour of the Aber Valley

A Slightly Processed view of the valley

A general view of the valley, with slightly wierd (orangey) tinting due to a bit of processing.

By the time I took this photograph it was getting dark, I was getting tired, and I thought there might not be enough shots left for the few pictures still to take. I just took the one, and then realised that I'd used the TTL metering and exposed for the sky (which I wanted to dominate the shot). The print confirmed that the sky was almost right, but that the ground was rather dark.

I make no further apologies therefore for applying a little processing to this digital image. It makes an interesting shot, South down the length of the valley anyway (especially if you turn the brightness up on your monitor). If the resolution of the film was up to it, it might just be possible to see my house, from which I took a similar photograph facing North as part of the tour in Abertridwr.
