Just up from the Windsor starts Senghenydd. In most valleys it would be impossible to say where one village ends and another starts, but possibly because Senghenydd (at the end of the valley) was founded slightly before Abertridwr (nearer to Caerphilly), the two met here rather than one being a continuation of the other.
