Above the houses in St Anne Gardens is a small cul-de-sac of self-built homes. Some of these are extremely pretentious but to avoid possibly offending their owners I present here simply a picture of the entrance to the new area. The darker-brick house prominent in the picture features in a book I have recently purchased; Building Your Own Home (17th ed.) by David Snell and Murray Armor.
